These craft were designed by MerCo
(all craft are not depicted to scale)

T-98 Talon (star fighter trainer)

HS: 1 HP: 5 Powerplant: Quad sub-Ion A
ADF: 5 MR: 6 DCR: 30 Crew: 2
Armament: none
Defenses: none
Communication/Detection Equipment: Subspace Radio, Radar, Videocom, Auto-Eject Module, Streamlined

The T-98 was initially designed by MerCo as a trainer, but can be readily upgunned for combat duty. The Star Fighter Corps didn't care much for the armed versions as they were little more than a 1-2 man equivilent to the Gunfighter, but we continue to rely on the T-98 as our primary training craft. A pod laser system can be added at -1 MR, thus making the official designation "F-98 Stellar Shark".

T-3 Crescent (multi-crew trainer)

HS: 1 HP: 6 Powerplant: 2 sub-Ion A
ADF: 5 MR: 4 DCR: 30 Crew: 3
Armament: none
Defenses: none
Communication/Detection Equipment: Subspace Radio, Radar, Videocom, Auto-Eject Modules, Streamlined

MerCo's T-3 Crescent ended up being a great training craft for SFC. Two student pilots and an instructor can fit in the cockpit for extensive training, but the armed version iust wasn't quite up to par for Star Fighter Corps duty. Add a PL and/or PLT @ -1 ADF or MR each. MerCo still manages to sell armed versions of both trainers to various small private companies.

AH-2 Hatchet (light fighter)

HS: 1 HP: 5 Powerplant: sub-Atomic A
ADF: 6 MR: 4 DCR: 30 Crew: 1
Armament: Pod Laser (long range)
Defenses: RH
Communication/Detection Equipment: Subspace Radio, Radar

The MerCo AH-2 Hatchet has seen a lot of service among private corporations around the Frontier but it has become a popular choice amongst the various pirate organizations. Small and nimble, swarms of them can be quite effective. Smaller capital ships can host a squadron of Hatchets without a fighter bay, as they can be externally docked to a hull via external docking facilities affectionately referred to as "Hatchet Holsters". Each holster can accomodate 3 AH-2 fighters and can be mounted to any HS:5 or larger craft, one holster per 5 sizes (thus a HS:5 or 6 craft can accomodate one holster, HS:10 can accomodate 2).

DH-01 Marauder (star fighter)

HS: 1 HP: 8 Powerplant: sub-Atomic A
ADF: 5 MR: 5 DCR: 30 Crew: 1
Armament: PL, AR(x1)
Defense: RH
Communication/Detection Equipment: Subspace Radio, Radar, VideoCom, possible Radar Decoy Mechanism

Alarm (1), Analysis (3), Assault Rocket (1), Astrogation (1), Computer Lockout (4), Damage Control (1), Drive (3), Information Storage (1), Maintenance (1), {{{ Radar Decoy (2) }}}

The Marauder is hands down one of MerCo's finest craft. The initial production model sported a unique "radar decoy" mechanism that fooled other radars into interpreting the Marauder as other fighter craft, depicting outlines that resembled the enemy's own in order to be interpreted as friendly craft. Star Law and UPF were quick to halt availability of the decoy mechanism to the general public, however MerCo still managed to sell enough Marauders equipped as such to untold numbers of buyers and the mechanism could possibly be duplicated or reverse engineered. So watch yourself out there...pirates use these craft quite efficiently with or without the decoy.

HT-35M Mercenary (heavy fighter)

HS: 2 HP: 15 Powerplant: 2 sub-Atomic A
ADF: 4 MR: 4 DCR: 40 Crew: 2
Armament: PL, AR(x2), IB
Defense: RH
Communication/Detection Equipment: Subspace Radio, Radar, Videocom, Streamlined

MerCo essentially borrowed Streel's "Vindicator" heavy fighter trainer design and added guns to produce the Mercenary heavy fighter. Crude but effective as a heavy duty fighter craft. Mercenaries, privateers, pirates, and other detached outfits like the HT-35M for it's versatility and durability, a small two man crew can get a lot done with one of these and even haul a small cargo in the craft's hold (large enough to accomodate a hovercycle).

MC-65f "Wolf" heavy fighter

HS: 2  HP: 12  Powerplant: shielded Atomic A
ADF: 4  MR: 4  DCR: 40  Crew: 1-3
Armament: PL, AR(x2), PLT
Defense: RH

Sleek and sinister in appearance, the Wolf has a nasty bark and an even more dangerous bite. Decent payload in an interstellar fighter, the Wolf can support up to three crew members in comfort thanks to good life support equipment and a shielded atomic drive.
